Dinner Banquet (Free)

Following the workshops on Friday we will be hosting a dinner banquet in Reaney Park (Rain Venue: Chinook Community Center). We will all walk down there as it is only a few minutes away. The banquet is free, and will provide a chance for conference attendees to network/connect. No need to bring anything, we will be providing vegan/vegetarian fare as well.
The banquet will be an excellent chance for people to meet, share ideas, unwind, and prepare for another day of workshops. During the banquet there will be a performances by Erika Abad and David Rovics .
Erika Abad is a second year American Studies Doctoral student, teaching in Women's Studies. Born and raised in Chicago, she participated in college retention, anti-coke, and gentrification organizing efforts during her undergrad; participated in the fence counter-mobilization on campus last year. I've written and performed spoken word inspired by these issues, and for her presentation will be performing regarding the issues that have arisen in the various spheres of work she participates in.
